Submission Guide

Make a Submission!

On this page, you can upload your stories in video, written or photographic form to share your own, personal stories or those from an interview with another person who has given you permission to share their story. Before you submit your contribution, you will be asked to provide us permission to post the material – you can read the full text of the form in the Submission Consent Form – Author/Interviewer.

  1. Upload your article, video or photo below.
  2. Agree to the terms from the Submission Consent Form – Author/Interviewer
  3. Tag your post so that it appears in every category that’s relevant to who you are and how you identify. for example, you can tag your post with search terms such as Labour, Women, Pakistani if you identify with all those terms.
  4. You’re Done! Once a staff administrator logs in to the website, your content will be public and shareable using social media.

Technical Considerations:

For Photos/Images:
Dimensions should not exceed 500 px in either width or height. Size of each image should not exceed 700 KB (the lower the better). Max 4 images per submission.

If you have large images, scanned images, etc, you can use this site to reduce file size:

These submissions should not exceed 2000 characters (characters include spaces!)

Any video submissions should be linked from an external 3rd party site, such as YouTube or Vimeo. YouTube is preferable because it 'crunches' videos which makes them smaller and lets them load faster, or you can obtain informed consent from a relative, elder or community member to conduct an interview with them to share online.
